Theta Delta chapter

Tri Delta is an assembly of women with shared values where you can be yourself and belong to something bigger. We are brave, bold and kind. We are passionate about serving others, committed to becoming the best version of ourselves and dedicated to helping women live, learn and lead – with Purpose – for a lifetime.

A letter from the President

Theta Delta continues to empower its members to become leaders in our campus community. We are club presidents, campus employees, athletes, and change-makers who take pride in our community. Amidst our on-campus involvement, Theta Delta inspires its members to strive for academic excellence, consistently earning an average GPA above the University of Oregon student body average. We ensure that our members feel academically supported through mentor programs, alumni expertise, and study groups that equip members with professional skills to use post-graduation.

Our members also exemplify Tri Delta’s value of self-sacrifice, raising over $33,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital last year. Thanks to our amazing Director of Philanthropy, Lizzie Woods ‘21, we held our dessert buffet event, Delta Desserts, in the fall at our chapter facility, as well as Sunny DDDays in the spring, a summer barbeque-inspired event with a dunk tank, pizza, and popsicles. Each year we also participate in Sincerely Yours, a letter writing campaign that allows us to share our passion for St. Jude and service with relatives and local businesses.

Thanks to our Director of First Year Experience, Grace Anderson ‘21, our new members get to participate in a new member retreat each fall, complete with hiking, movie nights, and crafts to welcome them into the chapter. Hallie Matlick ‘20, our Director of Lifetime Membership, also plans sisterhood activities for the chapter to enjoy, such as ice skating, flower-bouquet making, and presentation nights. Additionally, she plans several events aimed to connect collegians with alumni or alongside family visits, such as Parents Weekend. Theta Delta is beyond proud of our members for their dedication to our community, academics, and each other. I am confident that Theta Delta will continue to leave a lasting legacy at the university and beyond.
